Ok, so you’re thinking about applying for Winter at Westminster, but you’re thinking, “Utah? Do I really want to go to Utah?” We know that when you’ve never been here you may not realize how great it is here. These are some things you may not know.

Utah is the home of 13 world class ski resorts and 6 National Parks. The outdoor recreation here is the best in the world – skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, rock climbing, camping – we’ve go it all. We are also home to some of the most beautiful and diverse scenery you’ll ever see. From red rock arches, to high desert, to otherworldly salt flats, to majestic alpine mountains – just sitting and enjoying your surroundings is pretty great too.

Last year Utah was named the “best state to live in” by Forbes magazine and USNews & World Report named us the “happiest” state because of our youthful population and outdoor recreation. Men’s Fitness also recognized Salt Lake City as the “fittest” city in the US.

We’re home to our own ballet and opera companies and have our own symphony. You can see big Broadway shows here, like Wicked and the Lion King, or attend the famous Utah Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City. And if sports are more your thing, you should know that we are home to MLS Champions REAL Salt Lake and the Utah Jazz.

There is always something to do here, whether it is skiing or biking, or dinner (the restaurants here are amazing) and a show – you’ll never be bored. You’ll love Utah!
