Last weekend skiers headed out for one of the most epic events of the semester: The Interconnect Tour. It’s the perfect combination of resort and backcountry skiing. Travel through Snowbird, Alta, Brighton, & Solitude for a full Cottonwood Canyon experience….and it was a beautiful bluebird day!

The semester has started and Utah has welcomed the new Winter at Westminster students with a fresh blanket of snow and chilly temperatures.
The first week of the semester has already been eventful. On Thursday, Westminster hosted its second annual Rail Jam. On Friday, W@W students skied with Chris Waddell, the inspirational paralympian and five time gold medalist who summited Mount Kilimanjaro. On Saturday, we did a biathlon and sledded at Soldier Hollow.
This week we’re looking forward to our Level 1 Avalanche Certification class!

This season is starting off with a bang! Lately we’ve been nailed with snowstorm after snowstorm. Yesterday we got a foot of snow in the valley – Amazing!!
Today is a powder day, most of the resorts are open, and campus is a winter wonderland. Alta has already been dusted with 132” of powder this year and has a base of 71”. And there are at least 2 more storms in the 10 day forecast.
Here are some current mountain stats:
Alta: 71” base
Brighton: 56” base
The Canyons: 33” base (opens on Dec. 10th)
Snowbird: 65” base
Solitude: 48” base
